Richard “Slugger” Labbe crew chief for Dale Jarrett (#88) was suspended by NASCAR until June 7 and fined $25,000 for unapproved rear sway bar mounting. It was discoverd during pre-race inspection

DJ was docked 25 driver points and Robert Yates was docked 25 championship points.
