Today, our country will make history by inaugurating its first African American President, Barack Obama.  I am somewhat excited about this new step into the future.  I wasn’t planning on watching today’s events because I would be have toiling away at work, but Little Smoke is home sick today so I will get to watch things today.  I really do get into all this history stuff.  Next to NASCAR and a few other things, history is at the top of the list of things that fascinate me.  I still remember sitting in my fifth grade homeroom watching the inauguration of Ronald Reagan.  I was 10.  No matter which side of the political fence you sit, it is still a historic day for our country and I for one will be a witness today even if it’s from my recliner.  Welcome to the White House Mr. Obama.
